The Bengal cat is a hybrid which was produced by mating a wild Asian leopard cat (Prionailurus Bengalensis) with a domestic shorthaired cat.

The Bengal cat is a muscular cat with its hind legs being slightly higher than its shoulders. it has a think tail which it carries low. The Bengal is a very self assured and confident cat. The are affectionate and sociable, while having a playful nature and lots of energy.

The Bengal cat can come in a variety of colours and markings. Colours- Brown, snow, silver and rarer the blue and black. Marking- Spots, rosette spots and marble.
